Description

"This bridge was designed by Raimundo Camprubí, who in 1879 supervised its installation on the Cuyón River. It was built in Belgium by Eugene Rollin & Cia. And its name derives from the sector where it is located. In this region, which marks the southern limit of the Cuesta de Asomante, there was an old horse changing station for the carriages that traveled the road. The bridge beams rest on carved stone bases, which in turn rest on concrete foundations." -- Description from Ediciones Digitales, De San Juan a Ponce por la Carretera Central.
